From R. Patriot 1/25/12 God Bless America, our one Republican County Commissioner and our very shy but patriotic Mayor. I am very excited about the Florida primary. Newt Gingrich is great man, an honest and a moral man. He has a good chance to become President and we can look forward to his leadership. He will win too, because he is a man with true integrity and family values. He has, in fact signed a pledge supporting the sanctity of Marriage. You know for certain that he is in politics and is a man of his word. Things like this surely make me proud to be an American. God Bless America
From Smokey 1/25/12 Still no sales for my peep. We were rolling in money at Christmas time, but we don't have all that much now. I want to make sure that Suzanne has enough money to go into Portland if she has to. Her VW Van is running pretty good, and it get okay mileage too, but gas prices seem to be going up again. I ride my bicycle a lot but it was pretty hard riding it to work in the snow last week. The burger place is just too far from were we live to walk and I need to be there on the job since I am now part of management. Sometimes I need to have a car, even if it uses gas. This big dude came in the other night, totally wasted. Like he was really bad and some of my people wanted to call the cops. He was having a bad time, making lots of noise and some of our customers started to leave. He could have been trouble for me, but I talked to him really nice. I told him that he couldn't drive home, all messed up like that. I couldn't see that, so I told the people to cover for me and I gave this big dude a ride home. I then gave him my cell number and told him that I would give him a ride back to the Burger place where he left his car. Couldn't have done that if I had taken my bicycle. Next day he called me and I gave him a ride back to his car. He was very thankful and said that he was having a really bad time, and had lost his job. I know that we are short on money, but I gave him a 20 dollar bill to kind of help him out. I don't expect to get noth'n back, but I feel like I created some good Karma. Too bad more people don't help each other. Me need more of that in this world. Makes for a lots nicer world.
From Shortfellow 1/24/11 There was a commissioner called Earls, Who was beat up by some girls, He cried and cried 'cause It hurt that bully's pride Now he's nuttier than a dray of squirrels. Shortfellow
From Talk Nazi 1/24/12 Shut up already, you low life bottom feeders, you need to put on your big boy pants and get it through your genetically altered pea sized brain that you belong on the bottom of the pile, and there are some of us that belongs on the top. If your momma and uncle daddy had not fornicated with each other in their single wide trailer and drinken beer and smoken Marlboro's you might have had a chance for a bit bigger brain and some decent teeth. There is nothing wrong in being a bottom feeder, we need someone to pay our taxes and do the grunt work for us for with little pay. That way those on top can afford our nice big mansion and our 100ft yacht. Being inbred isn't so bad especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas look how much money you save on dinner and presents, you get the entire family at dinner and only have to cook for half as many relatives, and Christmas presents are cut in half as well. And look at the leeway for gifts you can either buy for daddy or you can buy for uncle at the same time. So stop whining you low life pond scum and thank your lucky stars that there is a place for you and yours in society even if it is at the bottom. I praise my republican candidates who are running for president they know what is best for America's wealthy. And I sure hope they win because you low life could pay a bit more in taxes. God bless the Mother Country and God Bless our Fuhrer's.
From David Lovin 1/20/12 "One Minute Fly" ... I like that. At first I was wondering about a 4:05 running time for a one minute fly which made it even funnier to me. I take my irony where I can find it and I am always looking. Given that, I will peruse the st h update. It is raining, cold and getting windy outside. I'd druther mine irony than get wet and cold."
From Blue Toe 1/19/12 I just read the spotlight article about the Maritime festival that will go on in old town this summer and a possible 200 million dollar maritime center on the Boise property near the park.
Okay the festival sounds good, but the Maritime center would cost too much for the amount of people it would draw.
The whole part that smells really fishy is that Cris Fink owns the company that stands to profit from all of this. Even though they call it a non profit organization, they still get paid to put it on.
Cris Fink is on the St Helens Tourism committee.
