I looked at the motel in Madras next to the garage.  It was not all that new, and
appeared to be a bit on the "worn" side.  My imagination started going into overdrive.  I remembered the movie Psyco and the Bates Motel.  I thought that even if I had to hitch hike that it would be worth my while to try and get to Bend.

I didn't have to hitch hike.  My cell phone rang; a lady I knew who lived in Bend volunteered to fetch me.  An hour later I was seated in her SUV with my suitcase, riding back to Bend.

My time in Bend was pleasant.  The hotel in Bend was marvelous.  My room was great with an outstanding view of the Deschutes River, an exercise room, refrigerator, microwave and wireless Internet.   My meeting went well, and on Monday the lady who was kind enough to give me a ride to Bend, told me that she had business at Warm Springs, and she would give me a ride back.

I felt blessed.

From then on out, good things continued to happen.  Princes Towing called and said that they had the parts for my car.  They give me an estimate, and it was, in my minds eye, quite reasonable.
When I arrived at the shop, the car was already done.  A very cheerful lady gave me my bill, and it was $70 less than their estimate.  I was very pleased.

My car ran flawlessly…

My trip home was uneventful… and life was good.
