is bad and unemployment is up.
There is a drop out rate also that number is not easily found.
In the long run the house of cards will fall but not after murder and beatings occur.
That's the irony, what happens in the meantime before they collapse is that there is too much blood shed.

I think that Earl Fisher has a conflict of interests. He is misusing his position as a County Commissioner by using his office to threatening to arrest the people who have a law suite against him. Shouldn't this be considered an ethics violation?

How come the school district wants to shut down our schools? We pay a lot of money through our taxes to run the schools. How come every time there is a money problem they either threaten to close a school or stop the busses from running? Why doesn't the administration cut their wages, after all they are lucky to have a job where as some of us have lost their jobs because of company failures.  They should not have shut down John Gumm school, and they should have kept the Deer Island and Yankton  schools active. They were perfectly good schools for children to get a good education. The Lewis and Clark school is a joke and the old Condon school was a nice school. So what it was old, maybe the district should spend a little money on up keep along the way instead of letting basic repair go for years then ask the taxpayers for a huge sum of money for a new school. We all remember the fiasco that went along with the new mc bride school that was a shady deal and the school was built on a wetland that floods the school, and the school was too small before it was even built. Wise Up.

What the heck is wrong with Commissioner Earl Fisher? What a butt hole trying to file criminal warrants against the ladies on the CHD board. The ladies are trying to do exactly what the voters wanted them to do. I am certainly glad that they are standing up against the powers of corruption and back door deals. Now that they have legal representation their chances of winning against the crooked people will be more doable.  Earl Fisher is a bully and has been known throughout the county as a bully and a man who likes to threaten the people who he is supposed to represent. He needs to go, if he carries out his threat against the ladies of the CHD board he needs to lose his office and hit the highway.

The ladies of the CHD board needs everyone's support and people need to call the commissioners and let them know that they support the ladies actions and that they will certainly lose their vote if they continue to harass and threaten the CHD board. I have called the commissioners and have voiced my opinion on the situation. You go ladies!!! Thank you for doing what is right.

The rescuers and helpers from all over the Pacific and Israel were wonderful. The optimism of the Japanese people is solid. Their energy and recovery as seen in some of the video is inspired.
NPR has been doing a series on Haiti this week where the earthquake struck more than twice as long ago. It appears that most of the NGOs and the charity has been wasted by the organizations themselves and the people there are living for the most part in the squalor of the temporary tents, filth and sewage that were put up immediately after the quake. Makes one wonder why the incredibly profound difference.

You can run Newt, but you cannot hide!

My oh my, Christmas in January. Newt Gingrich beat Willard Mitt Romney like an unwanted stepchild in South Carolina last Saturday. So far there have been three states voting for the poor SOB that has to run against President Obama this year and there have been three different winners. Rick the man on dog Santorum in Iowa, Willard the flip flopper Romney in New Hampshire and now the ethically challenged Newt the adulterer Gingrich. What ever happened to the puritans in the evangelical conservative right and the Newtster himself who always proclaimed that character matters? Newt was all up in arms about Clinton getting a BJ, while he was having the same performances under his own House speaker desk! All of a sudden he gets uptight when a newsman ask him about his second wife's claim that Newt asked her to have an open marriage so he could have her and his new wife Calista together. Jesus and I thought Mittster was the Mormon! Then Newt gets his two daughters from his first marriage to contradict the allegations of his second wife. This is getting confusing. Anyway I digress. The fact that Newt could very well end up the nominee of the Republican Party is just a dream come true for the Obama administration. They have been preparing for Mitt Romney who would be much harder to defeat in the upcoming elections, but I think they need to consider Gingrich as the odds on favorite to win the nomination now.

If Gingrich wins Florida I believe it's all over for Romney. I think Newts dishonesty and ethical problems will make it next to impossible to beat Obama. Newt has way too much baggage to win the independents he will need to defeat Obama, especially in the critical swing states.
