Kiwanis Daybreakers
Pet parade 2003

The Daybreakers Kiwanis Club meets every Tuesday Morning at the Warren Country Inn.  Their club is small (with only about 25 members) but they have big plans and big ideas.  Ideas on ways to make our community a little bit better place to live.   Not only do they have ideas, they act on them.

Kiwanis has a number of mottos.  One of their mottos, and one of their objectives are to provide for the spiritual as well as the material.   The Kiwanis Pet parade is just that.  Each year the Daybreakers Kiwanis club brings their pets to the Meadow Park Assisted living complex.   It is a simple thing, but one that is very much appreciated by those

This is but one of many projects that Kiwanis has undertaken for our community.  Kiwanis also works with children.  "Serving the Children of the World" is also one of their mottos.  They took the lead in eliminating the world wide problem of Iodine deficiency in young children, by building salt plants throughout the world.  They are also working in our local community by promoting their Children's Fair, providing help to the Sacajawea  Health Center, gathering food for the Oregon Food Bank, promoting their "Pennies for Tots" program, along with many other things.

Kiwanis is into helping sharing and building.  Building for our children, our homes and our Communities.
