Hey Svanberg
What do you have against small people?

BP Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg's remark calling the people who live along the Gulf the little people, caused a media nightmare for the CEO, whose main objective was too turn world opinion of the company from negative to positive. I believe he failed miserably at his attempt to turn America's opinion of BP. His excuse was that he misspoke because of translation between languages. I could believe that argument if he were but a little insignificant person, but a CEO who runs a huge worldwide company, a person who deals with different ethnic people and nations. Come on try again Svanberg's, you are a high and mighty rich snob, who could careless about the people in the Gulf. Your only concern is to BP and the ability to make more profits.

Which in this case you have cost the company billions but worst of all you have ruined the gulf, cost people their livelihoods and caused the death of many species of animals. Your greed has turned the gulf into a dead zone for decades. Your inability to accept the blame for the disaster is not shocking but a reality when it comes to corporate greed and destruction to the little people and to the environment, which usually follows corporations. This time corporate America and corporate world may have met their match with President Obama and his diligence in making those responsible for this disaster pay for their greed.

Through congressional hearings the real truth behind this disaster will slowly unfold and in the end BP's true colors will be brought to light for all to see. The paper trail has already proved BP are liars and connivers. The only way to prevent an unnecessary event like this is to never allow it to happen again, the government must reinstate and tighten regulations on corporations.
I do not feel sorry for the investors, who are crying because they will not receive their dividend checks for the remainder of the year, why should the innocent pay for the clean up and for the loss of $$$ in the future. You bought in to BP take the profits along with the losses, it's not the small peoples problem.
