America must move forward
We must have change
The rich should pay the same tax rate as the middleclass.

President Obama has finally stood up against the rich republicans, his plan calls for the richest Americans to pay the same tax as the working class. Right now billionaires pay between 15% and 17% of their income while the working person pays about 33%. While the president talks about numbers and math the republicans counter his talking points with comments as dim-witted as it gets, calling Presidents Obama's plan as "class warfare." Unfortunately for America the republicans have been openly and aggressively assaulting the middleclass for decades.

The president has finally stood up against the republicans and has put aside his usual lets work together attitude with the republicans, this idea has not fared well with the presidents proposals and it was far time the president changed his plan of giving the republicans concessions every time an issue came up.

The president's plan will probably not pass Congress, but it is a popular plan that the majority of Americans support.
The president's plan would tax the rich, close loopholes that the rich and corporations use, would not cut any benefits to retired people but it would cut Medicare spending to the provider and not to the beneficiaries.

His plan to withdraw troops from Iraq and Afghanistan over the next ten years would save over 1 trillion dollars.

I agree with the president on this issue, you can not just make cuts to sole this problem you also must raise taxes to pay our bills, George Bush ran our country into debt with his private little war for oil. He was the first president not to raise taxes to fund a war, stupid is what stupid was and that pretty much sums it up for president George Bush.

We must have a jobs bill and get the economy going again, to me it is simple, America needs to fix decaying bridges, dams, roads etc and workers need jobs lets just do it! And everyone would prosper. But like usual the republicans only want their rich friends and corporations to prosper and to continue to expand the gap between the classes, remember class warfare, when the republicans refuse to sign a jobs bill they are showing their desire to enlarge the gap between the classes.

When warren Buffet pays less taxes than his secretary there is something definitely wrong and something definitely needs to be done to make it fair for everyone.

We need to vote the republican/tea baggers out of office and get people in office that has the interests of the country at heart instead of the interest of the special few.

I really like the new President Obama, I hope he continues on through his term and holds steadfast through his 2nd term
