Pope To Resign

Pope
Benedict XVI's has decided to resign his position as the right hand of God. The pope has stated that he is too old to carry on his duties for the Vatican and god. This is a surprise to everyone in the church and the church's followers as well. The Catholic Church has had its problems over the years. The church has allowed, ignored and in my opinion supported priests that has performed acts of child abuse against its young boys in the church and congregation as well. The Catholic Church and this Pope has covered up these heinous acts for years. They have knowing allowed these filthy priests to abuse kids in one parish  then move the priests to another parish so they could abuse even more young boys. This has been going on for decades.

The Catholic Church is an organization for child molesters. The Catholic Church has used its religious powers over native people by threatening them if they did not become catholic they would fry in hell of eternity. They have pressed the poor by expecting the poorest to give the church money even if it meant the poor going hungry. All for the church to have a palace full of gold.
It has been 600 years since a Pope has resigned from his post. Maybe with a new pope the church can turn around. The church has been losing its followers at an alarming rate, partly because the church has not progressed with the times and still adheres to medieval ideas and because the protestants have been taking the catholic followers all across Europe and Africa.

There will be a power struggle between the stanch conservative cardinals and the more common sense cardinals who wish to make small changes in the church's view on many issues.
For example: allowing divorced Catholics who remarry without an annulment to receive communion or loosening restrictions on condom use in an effort to prevent AIDS. no candidates would move on issues like ending celibacy for priests, or the ordination of women .So the church will still be in the dark ages.

I guess they will appoint a new Pope that will be from Latin America or Africa and of course a much younger one, a Pope that will attract younger and new followers.

I for one believe that the Catholic Church is an abomination and should go away, but then there are many people who believe or need to believe in a power greater than themselves and that is ok too.

Some will be anticipating the white smoke coming out of the chimney of the Vatican; I, for one, will not.
