Sign the papers ole man

Sign the papers, ole man and I will
Still cut off your whole hand.

As the modern day Attila the Hun George Bush has deliberately and slowly eroded away any good will toward the United States from countries all around the globe. He has single handily torn down the basic safety document that has protected our military personal and foreign military personal, from vicious tortures while being held captive as POWS. I am referring to the Geneva Convention. George Bush has stood behind his belief that we need to interrogate all detainees far beyond the scope of military justice, far surpassing the scope of reason and humanity.

His gruesome tactics has caused 5 United States Generals: General Hugh Shelton, General John Shalikashvili, General/ Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, General William Crowe, General John Vessey to join forces in publicly denouncing and showing absolute dissent of a sitting President. Their objections against President George Bush and his actions has made it clear that others in our government support the generals and their statements.

Dozens of other Generals has came out in agreement and has joined in speaking out against George Bush along with admirals, intelligence officers, the entire JAG Core, and the FBI, who has refused to be present while interrogations are taking place because of the horrific scene's that they witnessed.

Unfortunately the REPUBLICAN PARTY has taken the side of their president, and has reached a "friendly" agreement manipulating the context of the Geneva Convention. Senator John Mc Cain who himself was a prisoner of war for 8 years during the Vietnam War was a key factor in making the agreement. One would think that John Mc Cain would remember what it was like to be a POW and would stand up and demand that the Geneva Convention language would stand as it was written.

Instead he caved and without conscience upheld the Republican Party and the republican president over a historic and significantly essential document that is used by every nation in agreement through out the world.

The friendly compromise language of the republicans would allow King George to interrupt the document as he sees fit such as authorizing practices as exposing prisoners to hypothermia and prolonged sleep deprivation. This practice was invented and practiced by the Nazis in WWII. No wonder George Bush likes to use the same practices. Under the compromise agreed to yesterday, Congress would recognize his authority to take these steps and prevent prisoners from appealing them to U.S. courts. The bill would also immunize CIA personnel from prosecution for all but the most serious abuses and protect those who in the past violated U.S. law against war crimes.

A quote from the statement by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) yesterday that 'there's no doubt that the integrity and letter and spirit of the Geneva Conventions have been preserved.' In effect, the agreement means that U.S. violations of international human rights law can continue as long as Mr. Bush is president, with Congress's tacit concurrences.

Bush's desire to use alternative methods of interrogation does not have the support of the commanding officers in the states or in the battlefield. These men and women who are fighting the "war for oil" are afraid that the same gruesome practices used by the United States will be used against our men and women that become POWS. Then listen to the up roar from America.

I hope that people understand that these torturous practices, the changing of the Geneva Convention, sponsored by the Bush administration is yet another democratically enacted policy for the good of all mankind that has been treacherously attacked and mutilated by a "man" the Supreme Court appointee/voting fraud/president of the United States whose policies are NO DIFFERENT than the extremists, dictators, terrorists that suppress their people, the very ones Bush professes to be engaged in war with, In order to uphold democracy, and to protect freedom.

Bush continuously compares himself to history greats such as President Truman, General Eisenhower, and Churchill. The only thing Bush has in common with these great men is that he is the very depiction of what they opposed and totally loathed.

I can only hope that America is not being taken down a path that she will never be able to recover from within her own borders let alone the eyes of the world.

We need a big change in Washington and that means getting rid of the like of George Bush and his fascist Republican Party.
