Cast Your Vote For a Better Oregon
Vote for Ted Kulongoski

Ted Kulongoski describes himself as a "LABOR DEMOCRAT" standing firm on workers rights, fair wages, and most important "UNIONS". In 1973 Kulongoski wrote the law that allowed public employees to unionize. Ted just happened to be a labor lawyer and was asked to write the Oregon Public Employee Collective Bargaining Act, the act was passed by a Democratic legislature and was signed by Republican Governor Tom Mcall.

Kulongoski served four terms in the Oregon Legislature from 1975-1981. He also served as the State of Oregon's Attorney General, state Insurance Commissioner, and served as a justice on the Oregon Supreme Court.

Governor Kulongoski was one of the first to sign on to the Employee Free Choice Act, a legislative proposal pending in Congress that calls for a card- check elections and employer neutrality during organizing campaigns.

He supported union workers when they rallied against the (BUSH APPOINTED) Labor Relations Board when unions requested that the Labor Board hold hearings while debating the Kentucky River Case.

Ted vetoed a bill that would have undermined the minimum wage for workers who received tips at their jobs.

I have attended several functions where Ted Kulongoski has been the main speaker, I have personally talked with the man concerning LNG, and I have to admit that until I met him, I considered him to be pretty blasé. Since then my opinion has changed dramatically.  I have been impressed with the passion that Ted conveys in his speeches, a passion that I believe comes from his heart, a passion for the common worker, needs of the young and old, equal rights for all OREGONIANS and better opportunity's for all people of Oregon.

Ted has tried to make Oregon a better place; He understands the need for good wages, benefits, health care, education and the environment. He has supported Oregon's investment in Renewable Energy cutting the dependency on foreign fossil fuels, he has supported updating and re-tooling industry to make them more energy efficient. He has seen Oregon through hard times and understands how to run the state in a fiscally responsible matter.

ON THE OTHER HAND HIS OPPONETT.
Saxton has had little public service, he served on the school board and that was a disaster for the public, running the district into the RED, he has worked as a Corporate Attorney. Housed farm workers in poor conditions.

If Saxton is elected: wages, benefits, healthcare, will be cut! Education will be for those who can pay the highest tuition to the most expensive schools. Corporations will be the recipients of more taxpayer-funded perks; in my opinion the way Saxton speaks, Oregon will become a RIGHT TO WORK STATE! The division between the wealthiest and the middle class income to the poor will be widened with of course the wealthiest to be on top.

Saxton receives his campaign contributions from the wealthiest of the wealthy. Out of state contributors are among his top supporters. I ask you why would someone out of the state want to be involved in our elections it is very simple these political corporate investors will gain solely off the sweat of Oregon workers and their families. Saxton cares nothing about the decent hard working families of Oregon all he cares for is his buddies in Corporate America and what he can do to add to their profits.

Saxton cares nothing for the environment, his responsibility will be to the corporations, we all know that corporate America cares little for the environment, they put profits ahead of clean water, clean air, in fact I would not be surprised if Saxton loosened the environmental laws that are in place to protect our land, air, water, and children. A vote for Saxton would revert environmental laws, civil rights, workers rights back to a period that would resemble the" Dark Ages" where the Tyrants ruled the Serfs.

On Friday, the
Oregonian confirmed that Ron Saxton and his farm partners did actually house humans in the corrugated tin shed on the farm.

"But the (workers) were happy to have a place to be able to cook and have a place to sleep and be able to take a shower and such," [James Thomas, one of Saxton's partners.]

Digging into the records (and going beyond the OSHA filings that the Oregonian looked into), Loaded Orygun found that the building was never approved for human habitation by Polk County

Portland School District "golden parachute", and that of his assistant, Susan Dyer, cost the district $550,000.

Oregon must continue forward in a positive way

A vote for KULONGOSKI would ensure a better future for OREGON!
