Senator Graham rips Trump over Syria
WOW! One of Trumps most stance supporters and senate liars Moscow Mitch along with several other republicans have taken exception to the removal of US troops in northeast Syria. His actions would undermine U.S. national security and potentially bolster Islamic State terrorists.
A rare account of a supermajority in the Senate disagreed with the president’s abrupt withdrawal announcement, raising the specter of veto-proof action to oppose the decision. A precipitous withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria would only benefit Russia, Iran, and the Assad regime. And it would increase the risk that ISIS and other terrorist groups regroup. Abandoning U.S.-allied Kurdish fighters ahead of a long-threatened Turkish offensive into northern Syria. This betrayal of the Kurds will also severely harm our credibility as an ally the world over. Not to mention that Trumps action would leave the Kurds alone and would trigger a blood bath in the region.
Even though the Democrats opposed Trumps decision and spoke out against him, the opposition from his own party was loud and profound.
With Trumps impending impeachment Trump needs all the support from his own party and is depending on it but Trump’s move to draw down troops in Syria, announced Sunday night in a White House statement, opened him up to direct criticism from some of the lawmakers who have tried to defend him in the impeachment inquiry.
Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) who supports Trump no matter what, highly rebuked Trump which is odd coming from the ass kissing Graham.
Trump’s endless and stupid tweets for example “In my great and unmatched wisdom” is so ignorant, and self- serving. The only reason he wants to pull the US out of Syria is to make a deal with Syria so he can put a Trump resort in Istanbul .Trump is in it for himself. Trump puts his want of money and influence over country.
President Donald Trump threatened to "obliterate" Turkey's economy if the country does anything he considers to be off limits pertaining to ISIS, as the country prepares to execute an operation without US support in northern Syria.
They must, with Europe and others, watch over the captured ISIS fighters and families. The US has done far more than anyone could have ever expected, including the capture of 100% of the ISIS Caliphate. The threat comes after the White House released a readout of a call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. According to the White House, the two discussed the execution of a long-planned operation in Northern Syria which will not be supported by US Armed Forces, and the White House announced that the US would delegate the responsibility of ISIS fighters captured in the last two years to Turkey.
The move marks a major shift in US foreign policy and effectively gives Turkey the green light to attack US-backed Kurdish forces. The group, long considered as among Washington's most reliable partners in Syria, has played a key strategic role in the campaign against ISIS in the region.
Then Trump went on to say---WE WILL FIGHT WHERE IT IS TO OUR BENEFIT, AND ONLY FIGHT TO WIN," -- "Turkey, Europe, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Russia and the Kurds will now have to figure the situation out, and what they want to do with the captured ISIS fighters in their "neighborhood." They all hate ISIS, have been enemies for years. We are 7000 miles away and will crush ISIS again if they come anywhere near us!"
Trump is shameful and has alienated most of America’s allies. His decision to throw the Kurds under the bus is the second time the US has lied, and left the Kurds to fend for themselves. This is yet an example of prior bad American policy which caused upheaval in the region.
Why would we leave after all the American and foreign lives which have been sacrificed in this ongoing conflict, why would we waste what these fighters have accomplished and revert back and then have to do it all over again.
Trump needs to be removed from office one way or the other.
