Hundreds of thousands of immigrants took to the streets Monday to show that they had political muscle to try and force sweeping immigration policy reform in this country. Many of the protestors are not legal immigrants but believe that they have the right to live and work in America while not being a citizen of this country. I do not share their views.

I can understand people wanting a better life BUT in my opinion I believe that any person that wants to come into America should have to go through the proper channels to become an American citizen.

There are over 13 million illegal aliens in this country that are doing work for various well named companies, contractors, and other seasonal jobs. The reason that these outfits hire illegal aliens to perform various duties is plain and simple LOW WAGES = MORE PROFITS! These people will work for almost nothing because almost nothing is more than what they have in Mexico. And the business 's scurry to cash in on the opportunities that immigrant populations provide.

To stop the flow of illegal alien workers in this country would be quite simple. Any company or business that hires illegal aliens and are caught in this practice should be charged a substantial penalty for each occurrence. I believe that the hiring of these people would cease. I believe if no one would hire illegal's, than that the illegal population would try and come into this country the correct way, and thus forcing the corporations of this country to hire legal citizens to perform work needed. This would be a win-win situation for the work force of America.

Mexico has one of the largest oil reserves in the world. Why don't the Mexican government develop the oil reserves, thus providing jobs, improving technology and creating a sound economy for its people, if the Mexican people had the choice I believe that they would rather stay in their own country. Instead the powers of bee choose to keep the wealth of the country for a handful of the few wealthiest family's in Mexico. While the poor and the poorest try to survive, that is why many choose to come to America for a better life, when they could achieve their dream in their own country, if greedy politics, and profit glutton corporations were not involved.

The United States adds to the dilemma of the poor in Mexico, American corporations move their companies into Mexico in order to elude environmental controls, the cost of decent wages, unions, and basic civil rights of their workers. American corporations have developed toxic wastelands in Mexico, degraded the lives of the Mexican people in order to generate vast profits.

Heck a good number of politicians on both sides of the isle are involved in hiring illegal aliens to work for them, instead of hiring legal citizens. It boils down once again to the same ole word" MONEY."

Illegal aliens will be an on going problem for this country, its economy, its social services, social security, health services, schools, and its legal citizens, as long as the wealthy, politicians, and corporate has the allowed ability and power to exploit people.
