World leaders head for ceremony, except for trump. It was raining and he didn’t want to get wet

Trump’s blatant failure to participate in the ceremony to honor the soldier killed in the Battle of Belleau Wood. The ceremony was held at the solemn Aisne Marne American Cemetery, which marked the ferocious Battle of Belleau Wood. Trump cited bad weather was why he did not attend. How absurd, other leaders of other countries attended the ceremony. The Battle of Belleau Wood was brutal, deadly and forgotten. But because of the battle and the men who fought so bravely the outcome was not all in vain, it forged a new Marine Corps. The Presidents helicopter was grounded and most likely Trump wanted to make a grand entrance, so arriving in a car would not have made him look important. After all, showing respect to the fallen soldiers was not as important to Trump as him being in the lime light. The cemetery was about 50 miles from Paris and could have been driven too easily. Other world leaders braved the rain and showed their respect to the fallen and MIA soldiers. But not Trump. He must have been afraid that his spray tan would run in the rain, Trump has never heard of a rain coat? The men who fought and died and some who survived, did so in rain filled trenches, besot with hunger, cold, wet, injured, being gassed, and fought with all they had. Never wavering until the battle was done. Yet this American President could not spend an hour in a little rain to pay tribute to these brave souls. There are no words fitting to describe this man, other than disgraceful and shameful. Trump was battling on a number of political fronts in Washington and he was seen as being distracted and disengaged. His worries were because of newly empowered Democrats, which will be mounting an investigation on Trump. Criticism of his pick for acting attorney general and backlash over his personal attacks against journalists are just some of the issues hounding him. The White House said Chief of Staff John F. Kelly and Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., chairman of the Joint chiefs of staff, would attend the Belleau ceremony in the Trumps’ absence. But this is not the same for this important event. Trump slapped the event in the face because he is an ignorant asshole. Every event that is attended by any President always has a backup plan in case of unforeseen events. His pathetic excuses is seen through by the world. Trump is a spoiled man with a personality of a 3 year old, and I do not mean to insult a child. He believes he is the most important person on earth. He cares nothing for anyone but himself. He does not care for our military. He does not care about the sacrifice of the military in all our wars, all he cares about is Donald Trump he is a pompous ass. I do not understand how any military person could support him period. The cemetery has 2,288 gravesites honoring those who died, including many Americans. The names of 1,060 more Americans who went missing and whose bodies were not recovered are engraved on the walls of the site. They fought and died for freedom and Trump the President of the United States could not even get a little wet to show America’s gratitude and respect. I am ashamed to be an American at this time. Trump is still planning to attend the featured ceremony under the Arc de Triomphe on Sunday, where more than 100 world leaders will pay homage to the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the Great War. Trump plans to fly home just as Macron’s Paris Peace Forum kicks off for three days of meetings aimed at galvanizing global action on shared challenges, such as climate change. Trump does not recognize climate change, and besides Trump and France’s President Macron are not seeing eye to eye and are having a strained relationship that is being noted globally. Trump had not made plans to attend this ceremony in the first place and only decided to attend when his plans for a huge military parade was cancelled in The US because of the cost. Trump wanted to look like his pal “Rocket Man” by showing our military force to the world. How stupid is that, if you are truly a strong nation like we are may carry a big stick but does not have to brag and flash that stick around. We do not have to show how powerful we are. A smart man/country may carry a big stick but does not have to be a braggart. The Peace Forum was intended as a bit as a counterpoint to ‘America First’, referring to Trump’s nationalist foreign policy in which he has unsettled allies on trade and defense. “Now they have this weird situation of Trump being there in Paris for the event, the forum goes against everything he and National Security Adviser John Bolton stand for. Trump will attend and act like nothing is going on, he will make some stupid ignorant remarks. Make an ass of himself, degrade someone, the press, other world leaders, or even the kitchen staff because he dislikes what is being served. In other words, business as usual for Trump, He is so weak on the world’s stage by his own repulsive actions. Trump tweeted from Paris warning he is closely watching the election recount in the gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races in Florida. “Trying to STEAL two big elections in Florida! I guess he was referring to the democrats, he is afraid that he is losing power and the people are tired of him and his policies. He should be afraid, as for stealing elections, that’s a laugh. He is afraid that every voted will be counted and if that is done his party just might lose. In the two years since his election, Trump has not visited troops in an active war zone in fairness an attempt to make a surprise visit to the Korean demilitarized zone in November 2017 was aborted when Marine One was forced to turn around due to bad weather. But he has not made an attempt to visit anywhere else either. That trip was to poke Rocket Man. With callus remarks from Trump, and a deterring relationship with France,. France fearful of waning U.S. commitment, Macron hinted at a new path forward for Europe during a radio interview this past week in which he touted the “project of a sovereign Europe” and argued the continent would not be protected “if we don’t decide to have a true European army.” If France and the world can hold on for two more years we can get rid of trump and then make amends with the world. France and the US has been allies for hundreds of years, without France we may have not won our independence from King George. Yet our self-absorbed ignorant, asshole president has ruined what we have had for hundreds of years in less than 2 years. As tensions grow because of Trumps stupidly, Macron and other European leaders have felt burned by Trump, who pulled the United States out of the Iran nuclear deal and the Paris climate accord, both negotiated by the Obama administration. Trump did this most likely because he wanted to rip apart everything Obama did, his hatred of the Obamas is no secret. I think he felt threatened by President Obama because he is so articulate and was loved by the world. Something Trump will never feel or see. To all the Veterans of the world who served in order to protect freedom, liberty and justice for all.
