Kevin McCarthy wants to become Speaker, but is having a very hard time getting the

necessary approval for the job

Republicon Party in Disarray

Republican leader Kevin McCarthy is such a loser, this is a man and senator who condemned Trump for his involvement in the Jan. 6th attack on the capitol. Calling out Trump on how wrong it was, only to fly off to Trumps estate in Florida, Mar-a-lago, you know—where US classified, Top Secret documents were taken to be sold, given in return for special business deals or to the highest bidder… At that meeting, McCarthy swore his allegiance and support to Trump, kissing his orange ass at every opportunity. Pissing off many Republicons that he is a liar, so rotten that even the regular Republicon liars got offended. So this leads to his problems getting elected as the Speaker of The House which the Republicons holds a slight majority control.

McCarthy failed once again to win the House speakership Wednesday in intense but frustratingly unchanging voting as the chamber plunged into Day Two of the new Congress. No end was in sight for the political chaos that the most conservative members have created.

McCarthy did no better than he did on three opening day ballots as 20 conservative holdouts rejected him with their votes. No minds appeared to have changed, and he fell far short of the majority needed to win the gavel. Losing one vote from Tuesday where they merely voting “present.” Those House members who truly hate him will not change their votes, and voting present is actually a slap in his face.

The California Republican swore to keep fighting despite losing in multiple rounds of voting that threw the new majority into turmoil a day earlier. Lively private discussions broke out on the chamber floor between McCarthy supporters and detractors searching for an end game. The House had gaveled in at noon, and a McCarthy ally quickly re-nominated him for the job with a rousing speech designed to peel off detractors. Which has not worked so far.

But the dynamic proved no different from Day One, as Democrats re-upped their leader, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, for speaker, who has been getting 212 votes all from the 212 Democrats House members. And a right-flank leader from the Freedom Caucus offered a challenge to McCarthy, nominating Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., in another history making moment. Both Jeffries and Donalds are Black.

It was the first time in 100 years that a nominee for House speaker could not take the gavel on the first vote, but McCarthy acted undeterred.  He guaranteed to fight to the finish, he was encouraged, he said, by former President Donald Trump’s call to end the disarray and pull the Republican Party together.

Trump publicly urged Republicans to vote for McCarthy: “CLOSE THE DEAL, TAKE THE VICTORY,” he wrote on his social media site. He added: “REPUBLICANS, DO NOT TURN A GREAT TRIUMPH INTO A GIANT & EMBARRASSING DEFEAT.’ End quote: ------This coming from a liar, loser and hopefully a future felon and inmate.

The House tried again on Wednesday after Tuesday’s impasse essentially forced all other business to a standstill, waiting on Republicans to elect a speaker. When asked, Mc Carthy said is that the day I wanted to have? No,” McCarthy told reporters late Tuesday at the Capitol after a series of closed-door meetings. Asked if he would drop out, McCarthy said, “It’s not going to happen.”

Do I find it amusing that the Republicon Party is in turmoil, well yes I do. The scenes of the rats eating their own is so satisfying and frankly their own fault. The Republicon Party now is not the Republican Party of the pass.

I suggest they vote in the Democrat, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, a House Member that has zero drama, zero scandals credited to his name, so the country’s business can get done.
