Republicans Cut Food Aid
A food aid program that helps more than 6 million low-income mothers and young children will run out of federal money within two weeks unless the government shutdown ends, forcing states to use their own money to keep it afloat or risk it shutting down. The $8 billion Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children, also known as WIC, provides vouchers to buy infant formula as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, low-fat milk and other healthy staples that are often out of financial reach for low-income households. Currently, the program is being kept afloat by an $150 million contingency fund, but experts say it could run dry quickly. After that, states could step in to pay for the program and seek reimbursement when a budget finally passes, but not all states say they can afford to do so. House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, blamed Democrats for the shutdown and called them hypocritical because failing to fund the federal government endangers so many health programs. This is a total lie, the republicans will not negotiate with he Democrats. The Democrats have always voted to fund programs that help the poor and middleclass. The republicans are crooks and liars who hate the poor and the middleclass, they want to keep tax cuts for the rich. Some Republican lawmakers want to cut WIC, which is targeted for elimination in Project 2025, the influential policy blueprint authored by the man who’s now President Donald Trump’s budget chief. Trump’s budget request and the spending plan backed by House Republicans would not fully fund the program. They also want to cut funding for families to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. The result of the demise of WIC and other important programs will result in poor health, undernourished people, resulting in hospital, and doctor visits and will cost more in the end. What kind of people are they who would refuse to fund a bill for food for kids. They are pure evil. Yet they claim to be good Christians who loves the child. Ya love them to death. The republicans are pro- life yet they don't care after the baby is born if they have food or healthcare or a place to live that is dry and warm. These people are the Epiphany of greedy self- centered hateful ugly individuals. The Trump administration hates the average American. He puts in his cabinet people of the same category as him. He is a selfish self- absorbed bigot, hater, racist, fascist, nazi. He lies about the war zone in Portland, in order to traumatize the citizens of blue states who have stood up against his fascism . in my opinion he hopes to incite a conflict between the troops and the protesters so he can initiate Marshal law. And incite a Civil war. So, he can remain in office past the end of his term. Trump wants the country to be divided; he has made billions off his term as president. its a sad state in which we find ourselves with the MAGA people and the Nazi we have as the president.
